Installing the Nodinite Mule ESB Logging Agent
Unlock seamless monitoring and logging for your MuleSoft integrations with the Nodinite Mule ESB Logging Agent! This guide walks you through a smooth, step-by-step installation process.

You must be a local administrator to install Windows Services.
Before you begin
Ensure you meet all prerequisites. This will help avoid installation issues and ensure a successful setup.
Step 1: Start the installer
Double-click the MSI file to launch the installation of the Nodinite Mule ESB Logging Agent.

Step 2: Welcome screen
After launching the MSI, you'll see the Welcome screen:

Click 'Next' to proceed or 'Cancel' to exit the installer.
Step 3: Accept End User License Agreement
The Licensee is responsible for ensuring Nodinite products are used according to the End User License Agreement. Confirm you have the necessary rights to install and modify the target environment before proceeding.

You must accept the terms in the License Agreement to continue.
Step 4: Custom setup
Select the components to install and choose the destination path.

Note
The default settings are recommended for most users.
Click 'Next' to continue or 'Cancel' to exit.
Step 5: Service Account Information
Enter the credentials for the Account that will run the Nodinite Mule ESB Logging Agent.
Enter credentials:
- Domain: The domain name the server belongs to. For a local account, use the server name or a dot (.) as the domain.
- User: The account username.
- Password: The account password.

If the account information does not meet the Prerequisites, you will see an error message.

Common reasons for this error:
- The account is not allowed to run as a service
- The account is not a local Administrator on the server
Follow the guide How to set Logon as a Service right and click Retry. If the problem persists, click Cancel and restart the installer. Ensure you enter valid credentials!
Tip
Check the local event log (System and Application) for additional error details.
Step 6: Ready to install
Once all preparations are complete, click 'Next' to begin installation or 'Cancel' to exit.

Step 7: Completed setup
The final step will indicate either a successful installation or a premature exit.

A failed installation will result in a premature exit.
Click Finish to exit the installer.
Step 8: Manage Log Agent
After a successful setup, Nodinite will automatically detect the new Logging Agent upon the first logged [Log Event][].
